Duties will include anaesthetic monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, inpatient care, clinical assistance during procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role

  • General Nursing
  • Preparing an animal for surgery
  • Administering drugs, anaesthetic injections
  • Monitoring anaesthetised patients during surgery
  • Assisting veterinarian in theatre with surgery when needed
  • Undertaking diagnostic tests
  • Performing in-house laboratory tests
  • Taking and sending off laboratory samples
  • Taking radiographs and preparing for scopes procedures
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
  • Follow-up care which includes bandage change and suture removal
  • Assisting with pharmacy orders and client communication

Minimum requirements

  • Dip/Degree in Veterinary Nursing
  • SAVC Registration
  • Updated CPD Points
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Verbal and Written
  • Relationship Building Abilities AND A LOVE FOR ANIMALS
  • Sales Skills will be an advantage
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Fluent in Afrikaans & English
