The role

Assist veterinarians with consultations, examinations and procedures.
Provide attentive nursing care and monitor hospitalised patients.
Prepare patients, equipment and treatment areas for procedures.
Administer treatments and medication as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control and clinical cleanliness.
Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
Assist with patient admissions, discharges and client education.
Ensure medical equipment and clinical supplies are maintained and organised.
Support the veterinary team with daily clinical and operational duties.

Minimum requirements

A recognised South African Veterinary Nursing qualification
Valid SAVC registration.
A genuine passion for animal health and welfare.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional, organised and reliable approach to work.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team while remaining calm under pressure.
