VETERINARIAN | WESTERN CAPE, Cape Town

Cape Town, Western Cape

This opportunity is offered by an established and highly regarded small animal veterinary network based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. With a legacy dating back to 1965, the practice group has grown into a progressive, employee-centred organisation known for its commitment to clinical excellence and a supportive team culture. The team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while fostering an environment where veterinarians can grow in confidence and skill. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, with digitally connected systems enabling real-time sharing of blood results and diagnostic imaging, ensuring that support is always available—no matter the case. Veterinarians are never expected to work in isolation, as experienced colleagues are always on hand to guide and assist when needed. The practice is equipped with modern, state-of-the-art facilities, including a 24-hour hospital, fully equipped operating theatres, advanced imaging technology, air-conditioned wards, and specialised units such as ICU and isolation wards. Alongside several smaller family-oriented branches, the network offers a well-rounded and dynamic working environment. This role is ideally suited to a veterinarian with some clinical experience who is eager to continue learning and developing. While confidence in general practice is beneficial, the team places greater value on attitude—seeking someone who demonstrates positivity, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong team-oriented mindset. The organisation prides itself on investing in its people, offering a competitive remuneration package along with paid professional indemnity and SAVC membership. Additional benefits include generous staff discounts, structured internal CPD programmes, external CPD support, and weekly clinical case discussions to encourage continuous learning. Long-term career development is actively supported, and an Employee Assistance Programme is available to provide confidential wellbeing support. With a strong emphasis on work-life balance, this opportunity allows the successful candidate to enjoy everything Cape Town has to offer—from its renowned beaches to its scenic mountains—along with access to excellent schools and local amenities. This is a practice where people are valued, development is encouraged, and veterinary professionals are empowered to thrive in a positive, forward-thinking environment.
