The role

Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry

Minimum requirements

Holds a BOptom Optometry qualification and HPCSA registration
Has at least 1 year of experience working in an optometric practice
Demonstrates strong clinical and patient-care skills
Has excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Is detail-oriented, professional and self-motivated
Works well within a team while being able to take initiative
